This carnival takes place every year on the last weekend of August in the posh area of Notting Hill in London. During these two lively days, many residents break away to the country side and to guard and keep safe their property the shopkeepers protect also their windows with large panels of wood that they re-use year in and year out creating a small and unique history of the larger Notthing Hill Carnival.
I took an interest in the visual impact of these graffiti filled protections in the early morning hours before Notting Hill awoke to the business of the day.
