Ten gasoline stations between Sana'a and Hodeida - 2009

This series could have been an homage to Edward Ruscha but it was very late after when i discovered his work entitled "Twentysix Gasoline Stations".

Between Sanaa, the capital of Yemen and Hodeida located by the Red Sea, the second biggest harbor in the country after Aden, you are struck by the huge number of gasoline stations (more than fifty) along this 240Km section of road which connects thes two cities. Some stations are already deserted while others, seemingly incongruously, are under construction.
