Rimbaud's wife - Harar 2008

Apparently, Arthur Rimbaud married in Abyssinia. The name of his wife was Myriam.

Ottorino Rosa, in "L'impero del Leone di Giuda, paragraph sull"Abissinia" (1913, p154), released a photograph of a woman, wearing the typical hat of the Choa, alleging: " this woman lived in 1882 in Aden with the fantastic poet Arthur Rimbaud". See Alain Borer, Rimbaud in Abyssinia.

Taking the posture from a self-portrait of Rimbaud made in 1883 in Harar, I created the photographic portraits of three young Ethiopian ladies in Harar in November 2008.
